Dear Families,
Over the last few days, we have heard from many of you with concerns for your students. We know that the events of the past week have been challenging for them, and want to assure you that their safety, well-being, and academic progress are our highest priorities. We are committed to helping your students successfully complete the academic year, and to honoring our 2024 graduates at Commencement.
Over the past week, you should have received several communications providing updates to the Emory community, including messages from President Fenves and Tuesday's update on campus safety. An archive of messages and other updates is available online.
We have communicated directly with students to provide school-specific updates regarding final exams, end-of-year events, and support services. Should your student need academic assistance, we urge them to contact their academic advisors. We have also encouraged our respective faculties to extend appropriate flexibility to students as they seek to complete final exams and projects. You can find more information from your student’s specific school in the links below.
If your student is in need of personal support at this time, please know that Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides confidential assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. Students can call 404-727-7450 and speak immediately with a mental health professional to identify their needs, get support, and help develop a plan for next steps.
The Office of Spiritual and Religious Life offers worship, prayer, meditation, and support through spiritual communities, educational programs, and confidential pastoral care. The office has locations on both the Atlanta and Oxford campuses.
Additionally, the university and our schools provide a wide range of support and resources, and we want to make sure you have access to those offerings:
